Winter Study: Amos By Jennifer Rothschild
An 8-Session Study on The Book of Amos
Amos is often called a prophet of doom. And when you begin to read his prophecy, it doesn’t take long to realize that nickname fits. On the surface, his prophecy doesn’t sound like a happy formula for the good life. However, every condemnation he gives serves as an invitation, a cry for us to “seek God and live” (Amos 5:4).
You’ll be invited to live assured, faithful, chosen, humble, justly, prayerful, and hopeful. This kind of living will bring us and others around us peace and true prosperity.
Amos is promoting the God life, and, the God life is the good life!

Spring Study: When You Pray
A Study of Six Prayers in the Bible
by Kelly Minter, Jackie Hill Perry, Jen Wilkin, Jennifer Rothschild, Jada Edwards, and Kristi McLelland
Do you have trouble thinking of words to say to God when you pray? Are you afraid some emotions are too intense to express to God? Do you reach the end of a day only to realize you haven’t prayed at all? You’re not alone. Prayer is the way we relate to God, but sometimes it’s a struggle. Throughout God’s Word, we encounter many voices who teach us how to pray.
In this 7-session study, join with six beloved Bible teachers who will help you study prayers in the Bible that can inspire your own. You’ll learn that God welcomes your praise and lament, your thanksgiving and intercession. You’ll see examples of how to pray when you’re alone and when you’re gathered with others. Above all, you’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray. As you draw near to God through prayer, you’ll find your faith strengthened and your heart united to Christ.

Join the Mama Bears and raise your voice to protect your kids—by teaching them how to think through and address the issues head-on, yet with gentleness and respect.

Join us for a celebration of salvation and obedience at this Baptism service.
Baptism is a symbol and a statement that a person has accepted Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord and has begun a life of discipleship with Him. Come hear stories of God's saving work.
Service starts at 4:00pm in the Worship Center.
Would you like to know what it means to be baptized? When a person is baptized, he or she is identifying with Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. By being baptized by immersion, a person is seeking to be obedient to the command of Christ and to tell others of how His grace changed their life both eternally and the life they live daily.
The next children's baptism is on April 14th, 2024 To fulfill the necessary requirements, children must attend ONE Baptism Class either on Wednesday, February 21st or February 28nd. You only need to attend ONE CLASS. Classes are duplicated. Class will be held from 5-6pm in room 2500 in the Children's Wing and is open to children in 3rd*, 4th and 5th grade. At least one parent must be present with their child at each class.
Classes are intended to prepare children to be baptized by Jason Hand, our Childrens' Pastor.
*Note: 3rd graders are welcome to take Baptism classes, but will not be baptized until they are in 4th grade.

Men's Mentoring Ministry
Who: Men of Spring Creek Church What: We will be working our way through the book: Mentor Like Jesus by Regi Campbell. Through this book, and more importantly through the faithful men in attendance, we will learn how to apply principles of Scripture in mentoring other men. To be impactful, mentoring needs to be intentional. It doesn’t just happen.
Lacking formal training, most men feel that they are not qualified to be a mentor. We will learn through this study that mentoring is not about having “the right answer”. But rather, it’s about drawing from your life experiences and the faithfulness of God and sharing how you approached and how you navigated various situations in life. What you did. What you would have done differently. And most importantly, how God was faithful. All of us have unique experiences from our past. Lessons we’ve learned and wisdom we’ve gained.

Satan is the master deceiver; his lies are endless. And the lies Christian women believe are at the root of most of their struggles. In this bestseller, Lies Women Believe, Nancy Wolgemuth exposes those areas of deception most commonly believed by Christian women—lies about God, sin, priorities, marriage and family, emotions, and more. She then sheds light on how we can be delivered from bondage and set free to walk in God's grace, forgiveness, and abundant life. Nancy offers the most effective weapon to counter and overcome Satan's deceptions: God's truth!

You don’t need to look too hard in our world, our churches, or our families today to know that a lot is broken. God has given men the responsibility to reject passivity, accept responsibility, lead courageously, and live intentionally in the key areas of life: relationships, marriage, parenting, finances, workplace, integrity, reputation, and more.
The time is now! This study will call up and challenge every man at Spring Creek Church to be ALL IN!

In the letter to the Galatians, Paul addresses the problem of certain individuals promoting the idea that Gentile converts to Christianity must follow Jewish customs, such as being circumcised or keeping the Sabbath, to be saved.
Paul argues that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not through adherence to the Law of Moses. He emphasizes the concept of justification by faith alone and encourages the Galatian believers to stand firm in their freedom in Christ. Paul proclaims it’s all about becoming a new creation in Jesus: a person animated by the power of God’s Spirit.
Join us, as we seek to understand Paul’s presentation of the distinctives of the New Covenant versus the Old Covenant. We will also try to make personal application for the church today between the weaker and stronger believers and issues regarding essentials and nonessential doctrines. We need to help encourage and love each other to be a stronger united force and witness to this very dark world.

“The more you invest in your marriage, the more valuable it becomes.”
Our culture today downplays the beauty of God’s design in marriage and the role it plays in shaping the family. Husbands and wives get so busy with work, children, and hobbies that they forget to invest in their most important relationship – their marriage!
Whether you’ve been married six months or 30+ years, this class will help you learn specific ways you can energize and strengthen your marriage for years to come.
Having both spouses in the class is highly recommended – after all, it is about both of you!
Leader: Jeremy Rush
How old are the earliest biblical manuscripts? How has the Bible been preserved and transmitted to us? How did the early Christians decide which writings to include in the Bible? Why can it be accepted as the authoritative Word of God?
Travel through history with us as we discuss how the Bible came to be: ancient manuscripts and languages, the Dead Sea scrolls, how the books were collected and passed on from one generation to the next, and ending with a review of the modern translations we have today.
Day/Time: Wednesdays, 630-8pm
Teacher: Rick Hoadley
With a rising dependence on science and rational thought in today’s culture, Christianity is often dismissed as “outdated” or “illogical” and atheism is gaining a wider audience. But Dr. Frank Turek provides a strong case for how atheists steal logic, reasoning, evidence and science from God in order to support their claims.
This class will provide thought-provoking and compelling discussion as we dive into this book. This class should also bolster your faith, help you engage with those who disagree, and open your eyes to the truth of religion and atheism.
Cost for this class is $10 (to cover the book)
Day/Time: Wednesdays, 6:30-800pm
Teacher: Neal Korfhage
