MEET AMERIFEST Guest Speaker - TIM LEE

Tim Lee was born on July 5, 1950, in McLeansboro, Illinois, to John and Wanda Lee. In 1969, he joined the United States Marine Corps. While serving in Vietnam in March of 1971, Tim stepped on a landmine in Quang Nam Province and lost both of his legs. During his recovery, the Lord deepened his faith and placed a calling on his life to proclaim the gospel.

After pastoring in southern Illinois for five years, Tim surrendered to full-time evangelism in 1979. Since then, he has shared the message of Jesus Christ with audiences across the United States and around the world through church gatherings, conferences, radio, and television.

Tim has been recognized for both his military service and ministry leadership. He was asked by President Ronald Reagan to serve on the Bicentennial Committee for the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution and has received recognition from the United States Marine Corps, the Department of the Army, the Department of the Navy, and numerous state and local governments.

He has written two books and currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Liberty University, a role he has held since 1991. He also serves on the board of directors for Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida. As President of Tim Lee Ministries, based in Garland, Texas, Tim continues to travel and share the gospel with churches and communities across the country.

Tim and his wife, Connie, have been married for more than fifty years. They live in Rowlett, Texas, and are grateful for their three children—Brian, Jana, and Amber—and their seven grandchildren.
